Planning & Design Discovery Session

We go step by step through the whole process and layout to find out what is most important to you and begin to map out a plan both practically and aesthetically pleasing.

Preliminary Plans

We draw up your preliminary plans and let you go through and change anything that can be changed in the plans. At this time we go over the estimated cost of the project.

Building Your Custom Home

We finish any edits, finalize the plan with you, and start the project. We have loyal sub contractors that have been working with us for 20 years. We take pride in a highly efficient process that can take as little as 4 months on a new build from start to finish.

From Concept to finished product, we handle it. We believe that if we don’t have a grasp on the entire project, that there is too much lost in the handoff between an outside architect or design company and us. We draw up plans that are approved with the city and internally hire a licensed architect when necessary.

“When I do any job, I take it on as if it’s my own. I feel completely responsible for my part as well as the customer’s interests. In other words, when I’m building, I take on all of the ‘stress’ and look out for details and design elements that the customer may not know to look out for. It’s like when I detailed cars, I have learned to look for the problems, and have a very critical eye. I don’t look at the ‘glass half full’ when I am doing a job. I look at what is wrong with it and what anyone with any negative attitude could criticize about it. When I do that, it always works out. And in a long term sense, any friends or ‘enemies’ that see the project later on, can’t criticize it. I’m a perfectionist. I’m realistic that it can sometimes only be so good, and realize that I am dealing with reality and people who may not see it that way, but it will be as close as it can be and I expect that out of my sub-contractors.” – Kyle Hogland

kyle’s Timeline

2026

Kyle starts Hogland Homes

“I built a foundation in hard labor and practical fundamentals of construction. I will jump in with the best of them and get dirty and make sure that everything I build is structurally sound. Building on top of that mindset, I have added a detail and design element that will give me a leading edge in the industry. You give me a style or let me help you develop your style, I will jump in with you and get designers/decorators to work with us to create something truly unique and inspiring. The way I see it, what’s the point of just building a boring house when for around the same price, you can build ‘with style’? It just makes it more ‘fun’ and ‘inspiring’ every time you drive up to your lovely home. It also inspires others! Let’s create a solid, stable, long lasting house that is a unique work of art!” – Kyle Hogland

2024

Kyle works with experienced builder to build KHANH Children’s Retail Store

In 2020, Kyle bought a ‘scrap piece of land’ as the locals called it right next to the Farm Bureau office on Hwy 62 in Blanchard. It was covered in trees, and really didn’t seem like it could be used for anything other than storage, which the previous owner was using it for. Kyle had a different vision. Before he bought it, he made sure that he could build on it, and once he got the ok, he moved forward. 3 years later, he started planning to build Khanh’s store. There were a lot of obstacles. The lot was too small and too close to the highway and even the alley to really build what he wanted, but he was able to get all the variances approved with the city. Kyle, with the help of his wife, Khanh designed the layout and applications of this store, and was officially the General Contractor for it. He had an experienced Builder/ Project Manager manage most all of the construction and it all came together beautifully.

2014-2026

Kyle sells cars in the Automotive Industry

From a ‘green pea’ in sales to a Fleet Director/ Intrepeneur, Kyle learned a lot and grew to be very skilled in sales and customer service. Kyle sold Premium cars, such as BMW & Audi, all the way to domestic trucks such as Chevy, Ford, and Ram. He was able to be trained by very sophisticated brands such as BMW and gained experience in customer service at every level and with every type of customer. At the end of his career in the car business, Kyle began learning and mastering project management when he ran “Seth Wadley Direct” A Fleet Management company/division that Kyle started alongside Marc Heitz inside the Seth Wadley Organization. Over all, the experience with customer service, negotiating, and project management would be invaluable with starting a General Contracting/ Home Building/ Remodeling business.

2009-2010

Kyle attends Art Institute of California-Hollywood

Kyle went to school and studied the fundamentals of art and design at a private school in California. He was taught by many talented artists and designers and was able to intern and even partner with successful and country wide well-known artists and businessmen in the area. Going to school here and being exposed to a higher level of design-minded individuals was a major step for Kyle as he began to develop a mind for design and also developed a network of artists/designers.
